POSITION: Transfer Credit Analyst (PT)

Effective immediately: (PT) Transfer Credit Analyst, Transfer Services Department, Wilmington University

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is required. Experience in advising services and higher education is preferred. Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products. Accurate and efficient data entry skills are required. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation is a must.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Gain and maintain extensive knowledge and understanding of university transfer credit policies and procedures, collaborating with identified Transfer Services Analysts as necessary.
  • Interpret transfer credit policies and procedures, review and complete transfer credit evaluations, and communicate the results to students. This position is one of the first points of contact for students regarding their transfer credit evaluation.
  • Following the proper TCE process, accurately and efficiently to enter courses and transfer credits in Banner.
  • Responsible to ensure that final Degree Works review satisfies ALL graduation requirements, including at least 120 total credits for B.S. degree and at least 60 credits for A.S. degree and 30 credits of Upper Level WilmU courses (for B.S. degree) (30 WilmU credits for A.S. degree).
  • Communicate any discrepancies/issues with DegreeWorks to the Transfer Services Assistant Director.
  • Provide unofficial transfer credit evaluations for inquiries.
  • Participate in Transfer Services projects, when asked to do so.
  • Promote and foster an inclusive and diverse environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
  • Perform other duties, which may be assigned by the Assistant Director or Director.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday - Friday: Under 29 working hours per week, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, the incumbent must have the flexibility with their schedule and/or hours to meet the needs of the department and/or the university.
