Position Information:
The Training & Documentation Coordinator for the central campus technology organization coordinates technical documentation and training initiatives under the general guidance of the ITS Manager for Communications & Assessment. The incumbent works with fellow team members to effectively coordinate and produce technical training (in different mediums such as in-person, live online, written and previously recorded sessions) and related user documentation for a variety of audiences with the ultimate goal of providing service support excellence. The incumbent provides assistance and backup to the User Experience Coordinator and Communication Coordinator as needed.
Education:
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Required
Experience within the higher education industry. Preferred
3 years of experience in a technical training and/or support organization. Preferred
Minimum Requirements:
Strong skills in planning, resourcing and monitoring effective delivery of training. Thorough knowledge of current training programs and trends. Thorough knowledge and skills with relevant business software systems; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong presentation skills. Thorough knowledge of training and development, performance management and workplace learning. Ability to apply knowledge to achieve successful organizational outcomes. Thorough knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas. Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills. Strong skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new training courses to meet organizational needs. Thorough knowledge of applying adult learning theories and education methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of delivering training programs and thorough knowledge of other areas of human resources.
Working knowledge of the UCR community.
