The budgeted amount for this position is up to $60,000. Under the direction of the Director of Young Alumni Engagement, the Program Manager of Student Engagement will create, manage, and oversee student programs to actively and meaningfully engage UC Riverside students. They will engage UC Riverside's diverse student body and foster a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and builds a lifelong relationship with UCR. The program manager will serve as the primary liaison to student organizations as related to events, serves as the advisor to the Student Alumni Association, and recruits, trains, and supervises a student leadership board.

Written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including tact and political acumen to effectively represent the institution.
Demonstrated experience in successfully coordinating and executing the logistics of programs, special events, meetings and receptions.
Multicultural competencies, knowledge and experience working and interacting effectively with diverse groups of staff, faculty, and student populations.
Knowledge of basic concepts and principles of building and maintaining effective relations with a variety of alumni and other key constituencies.
Basic knowledge of the institution, its mission, vision, goals, achievements, policies, and infrastructure.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Applicable computer skills.
For staff in Government/Community Relations: basic knowledge of public policy and the legislative process.
Proven skill to maintain strict confidentiality and work effectively under pressure.
