Position Summary

Under general supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

This is the journey level in the series. Under general supervision, perform most repair and maintenance activities independently.
Perform skilled plumbing work to maintain, repair, and modify plumbing systems and fixtures.
Perform skilled carpentry work to construct, maintain, repair, and modify facilities.
Perform skilled painting work; prepare surfaces and apply paint with brushes and airless spray equipment; apply wall coverings.
Prepare written work orders, requisition supplies, and prepare specifications; read and interpret repair orders, service manuals and building codes.

Required Qualifications

Four years of progressively responsible experience under the supervision of journey level trades persons in two or more of the major building or mechanical trades which included responsibility for performing a variety of repair and maintenance activities, laying out jobs and ordering materials; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task. Proficient in verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse and multicultural workforce.
Ability to master new software applications.
Must be accurate and detailed oriented.

Weekly Schedule

Monday - Friday - There are multiple shifts, facilities operates from 6am - 10pm.

Note: Must be willing to travel to other campuses when required, and be able to work evenings and weekends, on-call and overtime.

Starting Salary

CBA A Grade 30, Step 1 - $ 48,399.84.

Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
