Lecturer in Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applicants for a lecturer position in civil engineering beginning August 1, 2022.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following requirements:
  • MS or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related field, required.
  • Ability to teach introductory/advanced level courses in civil engineering.
  • Area of specialization is open, but ability to teach in the mechanics area is preferred (Vector Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Mechanics of Materials Laboratory, Soil Mechanics and Soil Mechanics Laboratory).
  • Willingness to engage in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC's Strategic Plan, including a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Possibility of summer teaching.
  • Renewal up to three years contingent upon candidate performance and availability of resources.

Base salary: $55,000.00 per academic year
