The Position:
Applications are currently being accepted for Instructional Design Coordinator in the Division of Instructional Services, SDCCD Online Learning Pathways department located at the Miramar campus. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

The Instructional Design Coordinator is expected to meet the qualifications presented on the Instructional Design Coordinator classification description and displayed as Desired Qualifications and Training and Experience, as well as the Licensure upon completing the first six (6) months of employment in an Instructional Design Coordinator assignment. Some of the following qualifications may be duplicates from the list on the linked Instructional Design Coordinator classification description. Those qualifications below that are not duplicates from the list on the linked Instructional Design Coordinator classification description are desired or preferred but not required. Learning Management System administration; Knowledge of California Community College Systems and Online Education Initiative; Knowledge of Section 508 requirements; Ability to troubleshoot technical inquiries regarding LMS; Best practices in instructional design; Knowledge of accreditation standards for distance education; Ability to work collegially with administration, faculty, and staff

Pay Information:
Range 33 ($5,171.01 $8,254.09) per month based on the current AFT Classified Unit Office Technical Salary Schedule

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the AFT-Guild, Local 1931 Classified Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and may accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
