Job Description:
The Functional Systems Specialist acts as a bridge between the business and technical teams. The Functional Systems Specialist must have a strength in gathering requirements, communication, and documenting end-user requirements. Facilities Services is implementing a new cloud-based system for maintenance management and this role will be responsible for the upkeep of that system; working with the users of the system to ensure they are able to effectively do their job. This position will maintain security, debug system issues, work with the vendor to resolve any issues, create simple end-user reports, monitor data integrity reports, monitor system interfaces, answer end-user questions, and deliver end-user training.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Specific Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of IBM Maximo or another CMMS is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based software solutions is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio is required.
  • Proficiency in a reporting tool is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of work order management concepts is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with diverse group of constituents is required.


Responsibilities:
  • Provides end-user help and on-going training.
  • Debug any system issues and work with vendor to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and audits system security and acts as the data steward to maintain data integrity. Accountable for performance and results of the Maintenance system.
  • Performs testing of update releases and new functionality. Responsible to maintain test scripts and ensure that all end-user functionality is tested to ensure minimal production defects.
  • Creates and analyzes standard and ad-hoc queries and reports.
