Faculty/Chair, DBA Program (FT) – College of Business - Graduate


Effective immediately: (FT) Faculty/Chair, DBA Program in the College of Business - Graduate, at the Wilson Graduate Center.

Requirements: A doctorate degree is required; a DBA is preferred from an accredited institution. The candidate must have sufficient experience to successfully perform the job and recent leadership experience in private industry, government, or higher education is preferred. Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with a diverse population. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidate will need to learn and use all aspects of the new CRM system. Candidate must also have a working knowledge of Blackboard. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations is essential.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
The Chair of the DBA Program will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the program. This includes management of faculty (full-time and adjunct) by administering self-evaluations, overseeing course schedules, and assignments.
Responsible for all processes related to the effective administration of the program, such as the coordination of efforts to recruit, support, retain, and graduate the DBA students.
Coordinate the programmatic efforts to develop new curriculum and update as warranted with the graduate faculty, manage the integrity of the dissertation process, the Comprehensive Portfolio Project, all aspects of the admission processes, manage the Residency Program, and coordinate student support with the graduate faculty.
Manage retention efforts of DBA students through advising, creation of individual course plans, and following up with students who have not registered; actively engaging in recruiting by active involvement in external events, demonstrated external network experience in private industry, government, and non-profits, as well as working in collaboration with University Relations and the Assistant Dean to develop marketing plans and building networks with business and community leaders.
Conduct info sessions both online and face-to-face and be available to discuss the program with all potential applicants.
Participate as an arbiter in issues of academic integrity or other student/faculty issues.
Teach a designated contractual course load and maintain an active online presence regarding the DBA program through social media and University platforms.
Perform other duties which may be required by the Dean.

Hours of Employment: Monday – Friday, from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. The candidate must maintain a flexible schedule designed around courses taught, required meetings and department/university needs. Some travel will be required.
