JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Graduate Admission for Nursing, Science and Health Professions is responsible for leading recruitment and admission efforts for certificate, master's, and doctoral programs in Simmons Schools of Nursing and Sciences & Health Professions. Programs span a number of disciplines and modalities including on campus, online and offsite programs in Nursing, Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Behavior Analysis, Public Health and more.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy that includes on campus and offsite events (information sessions, tours, class visits, graduate school fairs, etc.) in order to meet enrollment goals for each designated start term;
  • Design and implement recruitment, yield and communications strategies to engage with prospective students/applicants throughout the funnel in order to meet enrollment goals. Assess and refine efforts using data and best practices in recruitment and admission;
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external partners on all recruitment and admission efforts;
  • Recruit, train and supervise admission staff and serve as a key member of the cross functional graduate admission and enrollment team;
  • Optimize Slate CRM and CAS application systems for efficient, customer focused communication, application generation/processing and yield efforts;
  • Work closely with Deans, Program Directors and Faculty to set goals and ensure requirements/ standards of admission are clear; staff and manage admission committee/file readers and ensure standards are adhered to;
  • Identify and engage programs ambassadors (students, faculty, alumnae) in order to demonstrate benefits, proof points and return on investment;
  • Oversee the distribution of merit scholarships, assistantships, and endowed funds with the goal of increasing new student conversions;
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly/monthly meetings including Graduate Enrollment Management Council (EMC), Director's meetings, Division meetings, planning meetings and faculty meetings (as needed);
  • Collect, report and analyze data related to internal and external enrollment trends in order to inform enrollment goals and identify new markets and opportunities for recruitment and enrollment growth;
  • Manage allotted admission budget and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence to college policy; use data to advocate for resources, as appropriate.


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Keep informed on admission and accreditation standards/policies that impact enrollment;
  • Engage with program leadership and student affairs to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new students;
  • Partner with marketing team to develop, execute, measure and report on effective lead generation efforts;
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional admission experience with progressive responsibility in either undergraduate or graduate areas; some experience with graduate admission required;
  • Demonstrated understanding of admission process at the graduate level;
  • Working knowledge of financial aid programs and financing options;
  • Proven ability to work across difference and with students, faculty and staff;
  • Data analysis and ability to review, assess and make data-driven decisions;
  • Experience managing individuals and teams;
  • Public speaking and presentation skills;
  • Bachelor's degree required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with Slate, Workday and PowerFAIDs;
  • Experience recruiting for programs in the health professions and working with CAS application systems;
  • Demonstrated experience generating inquiries, converting inquires to applications and yielding deposits throughout the admission cycle;
  • Knowledge of principles of enrollment management;
  • Master's degree a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standard schedule of 40 hours/week
  • Eligible for hybrid work up to 2 days/week
  • Night/weekend work on a monthly basis
  • Collaborative office environment
  • Travel required in line with recruitment plan
  • Some physical work required when traveling/setting up booths/tables for recruitment
