The Kroc School is the nation's first stand-alone school of peace and justice. We develop unique programs and learning experiences to prepare and support innovative changemakers and peacebuilders to address humanity's urgent challenges involving violent conflict, injustice, inequity and oppression.

The Kroc School seeks a creative and entrepreneurial individual who can combine marketing and advancement in order to lead initiatives that increase awareness and support of the School and its programs. The Assistant Dean must be able to leverage his/her expertise to develop and implement School-wide strategies to improve awareness and recognition of the School in national and international spheres, and to lead the Kroc team in engaging with a variety of external stakeholders to gain philanthropic support. The selected person will provide overall direction for the advancement of the School by providing leadership and services that support the goals of the School. This includes creating activities and initiatives that attract private support, enhance marketing communications with internal and external constituencies and strengthen our connections in the larger community. We are looking for an individual who can effectively communicate the Kroc School's unique story, its vision and impact and reflect our organization's culture as a whole.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Communications/Public Relations or related field, at least 7 years of experience in positions in which marketing was an integral function or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience (3 - 5 years) in external/donor relations and leading a major marketing and/or fundraising campaign. The candidate must have demonstrated experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with community and corporate partners and/or with fundraising constituents.

In order to build peace and justice the candidate must be inspired by our goal of greater peace and justice. Experience working with cross-functional teams and demonstrated oral and written communication skills are essential for success. Background check and education verification required.
