Position Summary
The University at Buffalo School of Nursing (SON) invites applicants to apply for a full-time (12 month) clinical position in the DNP Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) program.
Responsibilities include
Responsibilities include
- Classroom and online didactic teaching.
- Mentor, supervise, and evaluate students in clinical and simulated learning environments.
- Assist during admissions process with student application review and orientation.
- Collaborate with clinical placement coordinator to secure high-quality outpatient clinical sites for students.
- Perform clinical practicum site visits to evaluate student's clinical progress and facilitate and maintain relationships with preceptors.
- Facilitates and ensures safe, quality, interdisciplinary, evidence-based patient-centered care that is culturally sensitive, competent, ethical, and compassionate throughout students practical, classroom, online, simulated learning experiences and IPE courses.
- Maintain an active record of extracurricular activities and encourage student participation with faculty when possible.
- Contribute to new nursing knowledge through scholarship activities and student mentoring.
- Provides service through participation in School of Nursing and University wide committees, and faculty governance as well as active membership in professional local, national, and international organizations.
- Maintain clinical nursing expertise and certification.

Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or DNP degree from a regionally accredited School of Nursing.
- Current national certification as an AGNP or ANP.
- Current New York State RN license.
- Minimum 3 years' experience practicing as an AGNP/ANP.
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills with ability to work as a multidisciplinary healthcare team member.
- Maintain clinical practice in specialty areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching at the DNP level.
- Clinical simulation/practicum student supervision.
- AGNP-PC or dual-certified AGNP-AC.
- Established record of research and scholarship activity.
