Major/Essential Functions
In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a dynamic student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with a breadth of student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

As a faculty member in the Honors College, you will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary research/creative activity, teaching, and engagement/outreach, interfacing computation with architecture or planning, marketing and management, media, and/or human intelligence. As part of the 2/2 teaching load, the successful candidate will teach two design-focused courses in the Honors College per year as well as two upper-level Honors seminars within the candidate's specialization. In addition, active and consistent participation in research/creative practice mentorship with Honors students is an expectation.

Faculty Qualifications

Terminal degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in a discipline closely related to Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or both.
Significant experience and demonstrated success teaching related courses at the college or university level (including assignments as instructor of record while a graduate student or as a part-time instructor).
A record of (or explicit indications of forthcoming) peer-reviewed research and/or creative activity and/or external funding.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:

Demonstrated experience in an Honors program or college environment as faculty, staff, or student.
Significant professional experience in design and/or HCI environments.
Specific experience or stated interest in mentoring undergraduate students in research and/or creative activity.
