Position Description
Performs academic advising, educational, professional, or other basic academic advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate. Work is performed under supervision with performance based on individual advising effectiveness and overall program results obtained.

About the Department and/or College
Major/Essential Functions
- Provide comprehensive undergraduate student support, including first-line student contact, maintaining and updating student records, processing grade changes, and documenting any changes in student academic status.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for students seeking assistance with questions, concerns, or issues, providing guidance and support or directing them to the appropriate resources or personnel as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Dean's Office and other university departments to support undergraduate academic advising initiatives and policy alignment.
- Review and process undergraduate student override and permitting requests in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide input for senior audits by reviewing student records and evaluating progress toward graduation requirements.
- Support Red Raider Orientation (RRO) sessions in coordination with advising, orientation, faculty, and staff teams through logistical preparation, material development, and student engagement.
- Develop and distribute academic advising communications related to registration, deadlines, academic policies, and upcoming advising sessions in coordination with the departmental advising team.
- Coordinate academic advising appointments and support advisor scheduling to facilitate timely student access to advising services and resources.
- Assist with undergraduate student internship and study abroad programs.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; one year related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with student information systems (e.g., Raider Success Hub, Banner, DegreeWorks, Advisor Dashboard).
- Familiarity with undergraduate academic policies and graduation audits.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and support services.
Pay Range
$16.39 - $21.30 - $26.25
