Description:
SOUTHERN METHODIST UNIVERSITY

Cox School of Business

Associate or Full Professor in Finance #01404

SMU's Cox School of Business invites applications for tenure/tenure-track position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Finance Department. This search comes at a pivotal moment for the department, college, and university, as we invest to further strengthen the group; the successful candidate will have a genuine opportunity to help shape its future direction. Endowed positions are also possible. Applications from associate and full professors should demonstrate established post-tenure achievements and a robust pipeline of ongoing research. In the rare case, we will consider advanced assistant candidates. Both salary and teaching load are competitive, as is support for research and instruction. Faculty will be expected to produce high-quality research, participate in university service, and to deliver high-quality instruction in courses across the School's undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, which include online teaching. The position will begin Fall 2027.

Hiring is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check.

The Finance Department has 18 tenure-track/tenured research faculty who publish in top academic journals, participate in national and international conferences, collaborate with scholars across the globe, and inform policy debates.
