The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering seeks outstanding applicants for tenure-track or tenured positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. Individuals with exceptional promise for, or a proven record of research achievement who will excel in teaching undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
The Department's research programs span a broad range of topics within chemical and biomolecular engineering, including computation, theory, and experimental research. We welcome applicants from all areas of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering related to computational or theoretical research, including, but not limited to process systems engineering; artificial intelligence and machine learning; molecular simulation and thermodynamics; multiscale and data-driven modeling; optimization and control; soft matter and complex fluids; computational protein design and engineering, modeling of biomolecular systems; systems biology and synthetic biology. Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
At the Assistant Professor level, individuals should demonstrate excellent academic credentials and promise for impact in research in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. At the Associate and Full Professor ranks, a strong demonstrated track record of research excellence including successful competitive research funding and academic standing is expected.
A commitment to teaching should also be apparent including development of undergraduate and graduate courses, supervision of doctoral students, and academic advising of students at all levels.
