Job Description
This position is essential to meeting speech-language pathology clinical service needs within Speech, Hearing and Rehabilitation Services, particularly in the Communication Sciences and Disorders graduate program, and to ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. The role also provides critical clinical instruction and supports contracted clinical service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders (specifically speech-language pathology)
- Current or eligible for PELSB (Department of Education license as Speech-Language Pathologist)
- Current Minnesota Department of Health license as Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible, American Speech-Language Hearing Certification of Clinical Competence and at least two years of experience in applied setting.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a minimum of nine months of practice experience post-certification by 8/10/2026 are required for this position.
- Knowledge and experience in or willing to learn Due Process, SPEDForms and electronic medical records
- Ability to work with little direct supervision, within general guidelines and State policies, in a flexible and adaptable manner, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to or willingness to learn how to foster relationships across marginalized communities to provide training that meets the needs of diverse mental health workforce and community.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.?
Preferred Qualification
- Demonstrated excellence in delivering speech-language pathology services.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical instruction, supervision or mentorship.

This position requires a valid, applicable driver's license, as well as a DVS records check with an acceptable rating. This position requires a passing background check under Minnesota Statutes 299C.60 to 299C.64 - Minnesota Child Protection Background Check Act. It is expected that the employee maintains the ability to pass applicable background check throughout employment. It is the employee's responsibility to notify the supervisor no later than the beginning of your next shift of any charges, allegations, convictions that may impact their standing under the applicable background check.
