JOB TITLE:
Director, Creative Media - Football
JOB PURPOSE:
Leads, executes, and manages creative services strategy for the football program, providing necessary administrative oversight and guidance. Assists with maintaining and elevating the Cowboy football brand in all facets including, but not limited to, visual campaigns, graphic designs, video productions, web-based, social media and printed publications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates content to tell the stories of student-athletes and coaches/support staff for the football program.
- Creates content (e.g., graphics, photos, videos, etc.) for prospective student-athletes/recruiting including, but not limited to, official and unofficial visits.
- Attends team activities (e.g., games (home and away), practices, workouts, etc.) to create hype cuts, recaps, "behind the scenes" content/videos, etc. to promote the Cowboy football brand, the team and student athletes.
- Develops original ideas and stays current with emerging creative services trends to curate content.
- Communicates/engages with various departments (e.g., Broadcast & Video Production, Communications, Marketing & Branding, etc.) helping maintain brand integrity and institutional messaging.
- Supervises/trains creative operations student interns (football).
- Maintains thorough knowledge of and adheres to all applicable University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Assists with other duties/projects as assigned/directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 1 year of video production experience within collegiate or professional athletics
- Experience with non-linear editing system (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid, ETC).
- Camera experience required (sports camera experience highly preferred)
- Successful candidate will be able to act independently or as part of a production team
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in creating pumper/hype and intro videos for video boards
- Lighting for video
- Shooting both interviews and live action with Sony Cinematic and Mirrorless Cameras (a7iii, FS7 and FS5 specifically)
- Strong knowledge of editing and story-telling fundamentals

WORK LOCATION:
On-Campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship for any work authorization or work visas is not available for this position.
