Position Summary

The School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo is searching for a faculty colleague in the area of aging/gerontology to join our school in a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

A doctorate in Social Work or a related discipline
An MSW with practice experience
An active research agenda
Experience having taught social work courses in seated, online, and hybrid environments.

Duties include:

Conducting fundable research.
Teaching in the schools degree programs.
Engaging in cross-disciplinary collaboration with university colleagues.
Participating on school committees.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in social work, social welfare, or a related field
MSW in social work or masters degree in a related field
An active research agenda

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in social work or social welfare
MSW in social work with two years of post-masters degree experience in the area of gerontology/aging
An active research agenda
