JOB TITLE:

Part Time Fleet Technician

JOB PURPOSE:

Conduct diagnostic tests on vehicles and replaced worn or damage components. Trouble shoot and repair a variety of engine systems to ensure that proper repairs may be made to the customer's satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform maintenance and repair on customer (UW) vehicles.

Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals and experience.
Test the functionality of parts and systems.
Perform basic auto care and maintenance such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts as needed.
Perform alignments, tire repair and tire replacement as needed.
Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
Help keep repair shop cleaned and organized.
Operation of vehicle lifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Vocational School, On-the-Job Experience, or Associate's degree

Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.

WORK LOCATION:

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
