Work Modality: Classes may be taught, on ground, online synchronously or asynchronously, or as hybrid

Position Summary
The College is seeking part-time non-credit lecturers who are passionate about inspiring and educating the next generation of Cosmetology professionals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director or designee, the non-credit lecturer is accountable for the effective performance in these essential duties:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
  • Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
  • Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
  • Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials


Minimum Qualifications:
Successful Candidate must have or must possess:
  • Current Certified Connecticut License in the field you are applying to.
  • Related work experience in the field you are applying to.
  • Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching or group training experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the industry trends and workforce needs.
  • Two (2) or more years of practical experience in the field for which you are applying.


Salary:
  • Commensurate with specific course, location & demand.
