Job Summary:

The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, has a full time faculty position (0.5-1.0 FTE), at the rank of Senior Instructor, available for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), Under the direction of the full-time faculty or designee, this position provides outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine services at the University of Colorado School of Medicine site in Fort Collins, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, as well as the ability to maintain good working relationships with team members.

Specific duties/skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving as a provider of MFM consultation for established MFM patients in the outpatient clinic.

  • Performing and interpreting limited ultrasounds, including growth and dating scans, biophysical profiles, amniotic fluid index checks, and cervical length measurements.

  • Interpretation of non-stress tests and biophysical profiles

  • Assist with diabetes management in partnership MDs and our diabetes educators

    Administrative functions:

  • Assist with facilitating patient access into our outpatient network of care.

  • Participate in departmental meetings.

  • Participate in research, as desired, including accessing the departmental database.

  • Track clinical metrics pertaining to MFM SOM clinics



    Work Location:

    Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Fort Collins, CO.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Nurse Practitioner

  • MSN required from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure by a national professional organization.

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado

  • Admission to the Advanced Practice Registry of the Colorado Board of Nursing

  • Prescriptive authority required.

  • One (1) or more years' clinical experience in practice as an NP in Obstetrical/Gynecological care

  • Candidates may be working toward CO clinical licenses during application process and registered with DORA-Department of Regulatory Agencies. Must have Colorado licensures by date of hire.



    Physician Assistant

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Colorado

  • Prescriptive authority

  • One (1) or more years of experience in practice as a PA in Obstetrical/Gynecological care

  • Candidates may be working toward CO clinical licenses during application process and registered with DORA-Department of Regulatory Agencies. Must have Colorado licensures by date of hire.



    Certified Nurse-Midwife

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or midwifery

  • Active AMCB certification

  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado

  • Prescriptive authority required.

  • Must have Colorado licensures registered with DORA-Department of Regulatory Agencies by date of hire.

  • One (1) or more years' clinical experience in practice as a CNM in Obstetrical/Gynecological care



    Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) or more years of experience working in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

  • Bilingual skills.

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range for this position has been established as $109,428 - $145,724 based a 1.0 FTE. Salary will be determined by FTE and years of experience.



    The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
