Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
The Area of Finance in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance to begin September 1, 2024.

In line with TTUs strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

Required Qualifications
In line with TTUs strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

Required Qualifications:

PhD in Finance
Active research program targeting publication in top journals in Finance (and related fields)
Commitment to excellence in teaching

In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:

In addition to research programs in asset pricing, corporate finance, and market microstructure, we are interested in applicants whose research streams intersect with Fintech, fixed income and banking, real estate, and risk management.
Demonstrated willingness to participate in service activities (depending upon experience)
