Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

About the Department and/or College

Major/Essential Functions

Manage the complete lifecycle of the student organization conduct portfolio, including intake, triage, case assignment, investigations, formal and informal resolutions, and ongoing tracking.
Provide communications, guidance, and support for student organization presidents and advisors throughout the student organization conduct process.
Direct investigations into alleged student organization misconduct, gather evidence, evaluate information credibility, and present findings to the Student Organization Response Team (SORT).
Coordinate and implement student organization hearings, guiding student leaders and advisors through formal hearings and informal resolution processes. Recruit, select, and train panelists for the student organization hearing panel.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the Student Organization Investigator.
Maintain comprehensive, accurate case records using database systems (Maxient and RealResponse).
Oversee institutional compliance with anti-hazing initiatives, including maintaining and updating the university hazing website and issuing biannual anti-hazing disclosures.
Collect, analyze, and report data on organizational misconduct trends to inform institutional policy adjustments and preventive strategies.
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including the Dean of Students Office, Office for Student Civil Rights and Sexual Conduct, Office of Student Conduct, Texas Tech Police Department (TTPD), Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Involvement, and University Housing.
Responsible for editing and maintaining the TTU Student Handbook.
Help plan and coordinate the Tech 10 program every spring semester.
Serve on university-wide committees representing Student Life as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice Provost for Campus Life.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in higher education or related field from an accredited institution;
Minimum of one (1) year related work experience working with students and/or student groups in a higher education setting to include student organization conduct, events, social, professional and interpersonal development.
One year (1) related work experience in student staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation.
Demonstrated experience in conducting student conduct or Title IX investigations.
Demonstrated experience building community relations, partnerships and interacting with various constituency to include, but not limited to community organizations, faculty, staff, alumni, and National Greek organization and advisors.
Demonstrated ability and strong interpersonal skills to work with individuals and groups.
Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and other community stakeholders.
Experience utilizing various technology programs to include Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web-based data systems to include Maxient and RealResponse.

Pay Range
$59,000 - $77,100 - $94,900
