About the College
Founded in 1925 as one of the university's four original colleges, the College of Arts & Sciences is comprised of 15 departments, offering a wide variety of courses and programs in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, and natural sciences. About the Department/School/Area
Texas Tech University's Department of Psychological Sciences (http://www.depts.ttu.edu/psy/) has doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology (APA accredited), Counseling Psychology (APA accredited), Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience, Human Factors Psychology (HFES accredited), and Social Psychology. We currently have 28 full?time tenured and tenure?track faculty members, 4 full?time teaching?track faculty members, 115+ graduate students, 1,600+ undergraduate majors, our own building with office, laboratory, and classroom space, and a newly renovated Psychology Clinic. Faculty have an excellent track record of applying for and obtaining external research funding. Our research programs encompass departmental, campus, community, and national/international collaborations. We have effective working relationships with faculty across campus, Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, large area hospitals, numerous clinics and psychological-service agencies, and other multidisciplinary groups in the region.

Major/Essential Functions
In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a dynamic student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with a breadth of student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

As a faculty member in the Department of Psychological Sciences, you will be expected to: Develop an independent and productive research program yielding high-impact, peer-reviewed publications
Submit competitive applications for extramural research funding, particularly to federal agencies
Contribute to the teaching mission of the Department of Psychological Sciences
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
Provide service to the department, college, and university

Faculty Qualifications

PhD in Clinical Psychology from an APA/CPA/PCSAS accredited program (degree conferred by August 2027)
Predoctoral Internship from an APA/CPA accredited program (completed by August 2027)
Strong record of research productivity
A research program in any area of clinical psychological science involving either children or adults and with the potential to obtain and sustain external funding
Qualified to provide clinical supervision of therapy and/or assessment cases

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:

Record of pursuing external grant / fellowship funding, particularly funding from federal sources
Experience teaching at either the graduate or undergraduate level
A research program that complements existing strengths within the Clinical Psychology Program, Department of Psychological Sciences, Texas Tech University, or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. We are open to research in any area of psychological clinical science but are particularly interested in applicants conducting research in physical and/or mental health outcomes (including but not limited to adult psychopathology, substance use, pediatric / child psychology, behavioral medicine, or intervention development).
