Position Summary
The Department of Mathematics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for the appointment of a tenure-track Assistant Professor (10 month) specializing in applied mathematics. The position is anticipated to begin August 2027.
Strong candidates working in any area of applied mathematics are encouraged to apply. Post-doctoral experience is expected, although not absolutely required. The salary will be competitive. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is three semester courses per academic year.
The Department's 25 tenure-track mathematics faculty and 42 doctoral students pursue research in algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, and geometry/topology.
