Full-time, Non-Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor

About the Opportunity:

The Department of Applied Psychology in the Bouv College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University-NYC is seeking a Full-time, Non-Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor with an academic year appointment to teach, supervise, and provide service in the Undergraduate Applied Psychology Major in The Bouv College of Health Sciences.

Responsibilities will include:
 Teaching undergraduate classes such as Health Psychology, Interprofessional Ethics, Mindfulness, Foundational Biostatistics, and Healthcare Research.
 Providing service and leadership to the Department, College, University, community and profession.
 Mentoring undergraduate students.
 Engaging in scholarship and professional development.

Qualifications:
 Doctorate in Psychology (Clinical, Community, Counseling, Developmental, Health, Experimental, Public Health, or a related field. 
 Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level in Applied Psychology, Health Psychology, or related fields. 
 Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
 Demonstrated commitment to creating culturally responsive and supportive environments for students from diverse backgrounds

Pay Range: $76,000-$78,000

Assistant Teaching Professor (1-year appointment with the possibility of renewal): 

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills, as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
