The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular disease.

Teaching responsibilities may include the education of medical students, residents, cardiovascular fellows and advanced practice providers. Selected candidates will be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the organization and contribute no less than 100 teaching credits annually.

Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular care, as well as the interpretation and performance of non-invasive cardiac testing. The Division serves a large, well-established referral base across the Philadelphia region and Southern New Jersey, with multiple outpatient practice locations and a tertiary inpatient referral center at Penn Presbyterian Medicine Center (PPMC).

The physician will primarily practice at one or two outpatient clinic locations, providing comprehensive consultative and longitudinal cardiovascular care while interpreting non-invasive cardiac studies, including echocardiography and stress testing. In addition, the position includes participation in the inpatient cardiology service on a rotating basis alongside other faculty members.

The successful candidate will also serve as the Medical Director of the PPMC Outpatient (PHI3) Cardiology Clinic. In this leadership role, the physician will partner with clinical and administrative teams to optimize patient access, enhance quality and operational performance, support physician and staff engagement, and foster continued growth of the practice while maintaining Penn Medicine's commitment to exceptional patient-centered care.

The selected candidate will join a robust well-established Division of Cardiology comprising more than 40 full-time cardiologists at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), providing comprehensive cardiovascular and vascular care within the Penn Medicine health system.
