Job Description:
  • The Position will assume responsibilities of an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.- Create periodized sports performance programs for all assigned UNCP athletics teams (typically 3 to 6 teams of direct oversight).- Strive to maximize athletes' speed, strength, and power capabilities. Setting programs that increase PR's applicable to each sport.- Motivate and empower athletes both physically and mentally in relation to their fitness and performance goals.- Utilize TeamBuildr & Teamworks platforms for programmatic tracking and reporting to coaches
  • The position covers nutritional needs for all UNCP athletics teams.- Responsible for tracking and monitoring athletes' daily nutrient intake through the Teamworks nutrition app.- This position will meet with athletes as needed to discuss solutions for individuals who struggle to meet their nutritional requirements.- This position will meet with teams and coaches before sports seasons to discuss why proper nutritional habits should be the standard for pursuing successful performance.- Manage protein supplement program and inventory- work to expand nutritional offerings from Sampson Nutrition Station (ie: fruit, healthy carbs)
