Position Summary
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Medicaid Certified Doula to support the EMPOWER Study. The EMPOWER study seeks to improve the quality of health care offered to women of color and women from other marginalized communities during the post-partum period to help prevent/manage hypertension and mental health outcomes following community-engaged approaches. The successful candidate must have training and on-the-ground hands-on experience in community engagement and demonstrable commitment to addressing health inequities from a social determinants of health perspective. This individual will report to EMPOWER program leadership.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree and/or specialized knowledge of medical specialty
- Three years progressive experience directly related to medical specialty or service
Preferred Qualifications
- Trained Medicaid certified doula
- Experience working with postpartum clients virtually
- A percentage of our study population is Spanish-speaking, so bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates are preferred
- Experience with research or administrative work, given the research and data collection tasks required for this position
Physical Demands
Salary Range
$55,000 - $60,000
