About the Department and/or College
Our department is not just for researchers. We play a critical role in the education of life science and health majors, and the department offers four different B.S. degrees (in Biology, Ecology and Environmental Biology, Microbiology, and Cell and Molecular Biology) to over 1600 undergraduate student majors. We are committed to providing our students with hands-on research opportunities in our laboratory and field-based research efforts. Major/Essential Functions

Ability to manipulate pipettors,
Lift up to 25 lbs,
Perform microscopy,
Professionally communicate,
Learn new techniques,
Work independently and in a team,
Safely work with laboratory rodents, hazardous chemicals, and biological hazards is necessary.

Required Qualifications
High school or equivalent and one year work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science in Biology, Microbiology, Cell & Molecular Biology, or related field.
Prior biomedical research experience, experience with mammalian cell culture, transfections, ultracentrifugation, confocal microscopy, vascular biology, laboratory rodent handling and husbandry, and dissections.

Pay Range
$14.04 - $18.27 - $22.45
