About the Department and/or College


Major/Essential Functions
  • Handle and maintain confidential records on all Texas Tech University prospects and applicants.
  • Research issues regarding application documents and problem solve; anticipate next steps and prioritize workload.
  • Answer calls through call center software and provide accurate information to callers regarding TTU processes, policies, and next-steps.
  • Cross train on all processes within Admissions processing.
  • Oversee assigned files as well as a specialization within the unit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processes.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year of related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge/proficiency in operation of Microsoft Office Suite, ten key and call center software, as well as admissions policies and procedures, enrollment goals, and university facts.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with customer relationship software and various other software applications is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with prospective students, parents, and other constituents.
  • Be comfortable in busy, open concept room with shifting priorities.
  • Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in post-secondary environment preferred.
  • Previous customer services experience helpful.


Pay Range
$16.39 - $21.30 - $26.25
