The Center for Technology Workforce Innovation (CTWI) welcomes applications for a Program Outreach Specialist! This role is primarily responsible for implementation of outbound messaging for Aspirations in Computing. The Program Outreach Specialist shall organize and implement outbound communications to program applicants, participants, influencers, and award recipients, with a heavy emphasis on outbound email marketing. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with the CTWI Director of Programs, CTWI staff and team members, volunteers, academic and industry partners, participants, parents and others.
The Program Outreach Specialist blends outbound messaging with community stewardship to create a unified and professional experience for all members.

Who We Are
The CTWI is a coalition of more than 1,600 corporations, universities, and non-profits working to increase participation in the technology ecosystem through innovative programs and research. It is prominent on the national computing landscape and has raised over $28 million in NSF grants, as well as considerable corporate gifts. The CTWI organization is part of the College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado-Boulder. It spans both university staffing, financial and legal procedures, and in addition, receives funding from a non-profit 501(c)(3), to implement financial, legal, and governance procedures on its behalf.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Unified Program Outreach:
- Develop and lead all outbound email promotions, newsletters, strategies to support award outreach and community news.
- Draft and maintain core messaging for High School award participants and award volunteers.
- Draft and deliver program announcements to external and internal partners.
- Create centralized email communication audiences and processes to distribute periodic program information to volunteers.
- Build and maintain segmented Mailchimp audience lists for targeted communications to students, parents, educators, and volunteers for email, voice and text marketing.
- Design engaging messaging campaigns for recognitions program participants and endorsers, following provided branding templates and guidelines.
- Update and implement annual email communication plans to achieve program outreach goals.
- Track and analyze delivery and effectiveness of outbound campaigns.
- Recommend and implement communication processes that increase efficiency and visibility for key collaborators including team members, lead volunteers and internal departments.
Community Member Platforms and Processes:
- Collaborate on management of the digital "homes" for the community, including Slack and LinkedIn.
- Design and facilitate peer-led events, "Ask me Anything (AMA) sessions, and webinars that serve large groups of participants.
- Support customer service and helpdesk functions for Community member needs.
Other:
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Stay apprised and current on relevant University and State of Colorado policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development activities and serve on unit, college or campus committees as applicable.
What You Should Know
Standard business hours with flexibility. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work modality, consistent with the College of Engineering and Applied Science Hybrid Work Policy.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position will be $64,000 - $68,000 annually.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or combination of education and experience may substitute.
- One year of communications or email marketing experience, preferably in non-profit.
- Experience with marketing communications programs such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar.
- Project management and project tracking experience.
- Previous experience working with CTWI.
