Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

About the Department and/or College


Major/Essential Functions
  • Assist with coordinating recruitment efforts for all functional areas within University Recreation.
  • Schedule and support information sessions, tabling events, and hiring outreach activities.
  • Help promote employment opportunities in collaboration with student leaders.
  • Support onboarding logistics for newly hired student staff, including paperwork and scheduling.
  • Maintain applicant tracking spreadsheets and assist with monitoring hiring timelines.
  • Provide logistical support for department-wide events.
  • Assist with event timelines, room reservations, and staffing coordination.
  • Coordinate supply orders, signage, and event materials.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding deliveries and setup needs.
  • Provide on-site event support and assist with post-event surveys and evaluations.
  • Support departmental participation in Visit Days, Preview Day, Raider Road Shows, and Red Raider Orientation.
  • Assist with scheduling outreach events and preparing materials.
  • Represent University Recreation at outreach programs as assigned.
  • Maintain contact lists and communication logs with campus partners.
  • Assist with daily tracking of Special Events and Student Development budgets.
  • Process purchase requests, receipts, and documentation for reconciliation.
  • Maintain vendor contact records and assist with invoice tracking.
  • Update EPR documentation and evaluation records as directed.
  • Manage nametag and apparel inventory, including ordering and distribution.
  • Maintain process documentation and shared files to ensure consistency.



Required Qualifications
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Higher Education, Recreation, or related field.
  • Experience in collegiate recreation, student employment, or campus events.
  • Experience working with or supporting student staff.


Pay Range
$17.69 - $22.98 - $28.32
