(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Oversees daily visitor service operations and staff, guest relations, attendance tracking, special events management, and coordination of all Zuckerman Museum outreach activities. Oversees the public areas in the Museum to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security. Initial contact for museum visitor interactions and communicates knowledgeably and enthusiastically about exhibitions and other activities. Responsible for website updates, social media marketing, general administrative tasks and marketing and collateral development.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for daily museum operations and security, opening and closing of all spaces, and assists in managing building maintenance as needed
2. Provides administrative support and guidance to all members of the Zuckerman Museum of Art
3. Handles inquiries for information via telephone, voicemail, written, and email
4. Coordinates staffing for group visits, special events, lectures, openings, and other museum events
5. Leads the Visitor Services team, ensures that the department structure, procedures and practices support effective and efficient operations
6. Makes recommendations to executive staff for improvements to the visitor experience as they pertain to quality of service, amenities, facilities, policies and procedures
7. Assists in maintaining social media, posting and uploading
8. Records and provides monthly reporting of visitor data
9. Maintains inventory of supplies and materials for events-based programing
10. Assists in recruiting, developing, scheduling, training, and managing docents and volunteers
11. Oversees, trains and schedules student assistants
12. Provides ongoing support and evaluation to docents-in-training
13. Manages website updates and social media marketing
14. Responsible for marketing collateral development for exhibitions and education programs

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
TMS collections management database operational experience strongly preferred

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in an Arts related discipline or related field

Preferred Experience
Previous supervisory experience in an arts educational related organization
Previous experience in an educational arts related operations

Proposed Salary

The salary range for this position is $17.42 to $20.09 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Excellent social media and web navigation skills (for event marketing needs)
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite and Mac OSX operating platforms)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
