The Georgia Southern-East Georgia Campus in Swainsboro provides more than 1,700 students access to affordable, quality higher education. Job Summary

The full-time history faculty member will teach history classes within the Department of Arts and Humanities on the Georgia Southern University - East Georgia Campus. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face and online formats. Travel between campus locations may be necessary.

Required Qualifications

Earned Master's degree (or higher) in History or closely related field with at least

eighteen graduate-level semester credit hours of specific work in History required.
Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful college teaching experience is desirable.
Ability to teach face-to-face and online courses.

Conditions of Employment

Faculty are expected to contribute to the vibrant university community by engaging students, participating in events, and performing other responsibilities on campus.
