Job Description Summary
Temporary Employee - Co-op Worker
This temp, co-op position with Drexel will give the student a hands-on research experience in studies of radiotherapy in treatment of diseases that involve the bone. FLASH high dose rate radiotherapy will be investigated for its sparing on bone and other normal tissue during treatment of cancer that involves or is near bone. Low dose radiotherapy will be studied in treatment of osteoarthritis. The student will work closely with the principal investigator and the research team to learn laboratory methods, assist in running experiments, and actively contribute to ongoing projects within a collaborative scientific environment. This is not a remote position - it is on site with some evening work required. This temp, co-op position is expected to end on September 18, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Laboratory work: Assist with laboratory experiments, including animal work and basic laboratory assays.
  • Data analysis: Help collect, organize and analyze data for research presentations and reports.
  • Literature review: Participate in literature reviews and preparation of research summaries or findings.
  • Teamwork/Collaboration: Work collaboratively with lab members, attend group meeting in support of project goals,
    communicate effectively with study leaders, physicians, and biologists.

This is an in-person, temporary, co-op position with a Drexel student and carries an expected end date of September 18, 2026.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
