Position Description
Performs the administrative duties of planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating special development efforts. Responsibilities may include: cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual, foundation, and corporate support for the TTU/System; adherence to the prospect management system; and plans, coordinates and evaluates development goals. Work is performed under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative.
Major/Essential Functions
Focus: Manage a defined portfolio of corporate relationships, with a primary focus on aligning corporate giving with the university's strategic priorities. This position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts from corporations, as well as identifying and advancing new corporate opportunities in collaboration with senior advancement staff and other portfolio managers, ensuring coordinated and strategic external engagement across the institution.
- Qualify, manage, and build meaningful relationships with a portfolio of corporate entities and prospects whose philanthropic, research, and engagement interests align with the University's strategic vision.
- Develop and support corporate proposals, concept papers, and funding requests; assist with solicitations and secure philanthropic support as outlined in annual plans and appropriate to the role.
- Meet goals for key metrics related to corporate engagement such as substantive contacts, visits, portfolio movement, proposal activity, and partnership outcomes as established each fiscal year in annual plans.
- Adhere to procedures and best practices regarding documenting corporate interactions, proposal development, stewardship, engagement activities, events, gift processing, and effective use of the advancement database.
- Represent Texas Tech University, and the TTU Office of Advancement, at university, corporate, foundation, alumni, and community events in a professional manner.
- Maintain a collaborative culture and serve as a strong colleague within the TTU Office of Advancement, with TTUS Institutional Advancement, within the assigned college or unit, and across the University to strengthen coordinated corporate engagement.
- Assist the direct supervisor and college or unit leadership, as appropriate, in developing and executing an annual corporate focused annual plan that aligns with the strategic vision of Texas Tech University and the TTU Office of Advancement.
- Manage a unit budget related to corporate and foundation engagement activities, including travel, events, and stewardship, and serve as a responsible steward of resources provided by the University, college, and donors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year development or sales experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in university or non-profit development/fundraising.

$65,200 - $84,800 - $104,300
