Description
Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a temporary, part-time
Career Connected Learning Systems Navigator
position. This is a classified, non-union, non-exempt, and non benefits-eligible position. This position is grant-funded and is expected to work from January 30th to June 30th, 2026.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
:
The Career Connected Learning (CCL) Systems Navigator will work directly Workforce Development, local business and industry, area colleges, School Districts and ESD's to build awareness of and partnerships between these organizations with the goal of increasing the number of students accessing Career Technical Education programs. The CCL Navigator will work directly with high school students seeking work based learning opportunities and serve as an intermediary between the High School and the local Community College to help educate, promote, and inform students and their parents about relevant opportunities. The CCL Navigator will establish relationships at each institution and will build relationships and connections for schools across Oregon with employers, colleges, CTE Regions, local workforce development boards, and STEM Hubs to help identify clear pathways for students to transition from HS to College in relevant courses regardless of school size or location.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
:
External Partner Liaison (50%)- Meets with and engages practitioners, providers, and administrators of programs in all four career domains of Awareness, Exploration, Preparation and Training in order to provide robust experiences in Career Connected Learning for students and learners.
- Coordinates with CTE Regional Coordinators, Local Workforce Boards, STEM Hubs, existing K-12 career and college staff, and additional local and regional partners to create an integrated, understandable, and accessible support system for CCL.
- Serves as a liaison with the tribes and to support CCL & CTE programs across the system.
- Identify and assess current CTE Programs of Study to determine gaps and opportunities for expansion.
Reporting and Presenting to Colleges (30%)- Research and make available for others through CCL Resource Hub the best current knowledge of successful projects and experiences in the region.
- Recommend best and promising practices of systems of support, programmatic structures & standards, and data & tracking systems to local education agencies and other education and community partners for improvement efforts related to operations and compliance with established policies, objectives and regulations pertaining to CCL.
- Actively participate in all CCL Network meetings, professional development, data collection requirements, and program evaluation.
- Have a thorough understanding of Career and College Readiness, Career Connected Learning, and Work-based Learning efforts to support transitions across grade-levels and into postsecondary opportunities.
Case Management (20%)- Meets with prospective students and identify pathways into CTE and WBL programs as appropriate.
- Refer students to appropriate contacts and facilitate meetings that further the student's educational goals between organizations.
- Coordinates programs and facilitates small, medium and large network gatherings to promote CTE and WBL options.
GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, other agencies, and the general public.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
- Participate in college committees when requested.
- Maintain proficiency by attending training and meetings, reading materials, and meeting with others in areas of responsibility, which may require travel.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Maintain student confidentiality, data integrity, and comply with all related college, state, and federal standards, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
Bachelor's degree
and
at least two years of related work experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties as described.
Additional qualifications include:
- Experience working with diverse communities and/or students
- Ability to coordinate programs and facilitate small, medium and large network gatherings
- Ability to engage and communicate with community partners and other collaborators, including community based organizations and members of business and industry
- Experience building relationships and partnerships for the purpose of strategic planning and implementation of programs
- Ability to exemplify traits that reflect the College's culture, including integrity, a customer service orientation, cultural competency, trustworthiness, flexibility and a willingness to change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
- Experience supporting Career and College Readiness, Career Connected Learning, and Work-based Learning efforts to support transitions across grade-levels and into postsecondary opportunities
- Experience evaluating, building, and sustaining systems that support student success
- Project management experience
