Administrative Program Coordinator

Job Summary

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah is seeking a full-time Administrative Program Coordinator to support the Eccles School. This dynamic role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can lead planning efforts from concept to execution with calm confidence, has strong organizational and prioritization skills, and excels at effective communication.
This role requires a self-starter who can quickly learn new systems and processes, manage multiple priorities, and meet a variety of deadlines. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Prior experience with university or campus administrative systems and event planning is a plus. We are looking for someone who contributes to a collaborative environment, effectively communicates, and who brings a positive and professional attitude to the team.

Responsibilities
Job duties:
  • Provide administrative assistance to department chairs
  • Assist with scheduling academic classes
  • Coordinate updates for the academic units' curriculum, website and catalog information
  • Manage and coordinate visits, meetings and conferences for the academic units
  • Assist with faculty and guest travel arrangements as needed
  • Assist with all faculty hiring and review processes (RPT/TFR/CAV)
  • Provide guidance to faculty regarding school and university policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), plus one year of directly related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
