Position Description
Performs routine administrative support or technical program assistance work. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions

Support the Total Quality Management philosophy within the department.
Provides administrative support in the coordination and supervision of the Environmental Toxicology Program (ETGP).
Provide administrative support to the department chair.
Assist with various front office administrative duties including (but not limited to) answering phones and checking in package deliveries.
Work is performed under general supervision of the Department Chair with latitude for addressing associated various administrative, clerical and secretarial requirements.
Performs related work as required.
Assist with travel applications and vouchers for departmental staff.

Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent. Five years office experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.
Must be detail oriented and organized.
Must be customer service oriented and work well with others.
Ability to type and proofread documents.
Be highly organized and attention to detail.
