Position Description
Performs routine administrative support or technical program assistance work. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Support the Total Quality Management philosophy within the department.
  • Provides administrative support in the coordination and supervision of the Environmental Toxicology Program (ETGP).
  • Provide administrative support to the department chair.
  • Assist with various front office administrative duties including (but not limited to) answering phones and checking in package deliveries.
  • Work is performed under general supervision of the Department Chair with latitude for addressing associated various administrative, clerical and secretarial requirements.
  • Performs related work as required.
  • Assist with travel applications and vouchers for departmental staff.


Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent. Five years office experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Must be customer service oriented and work well with others.
  • Ability to type and proofread documents.
  • Be highly organized and attention to detail.
