Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Department of Geography and Anthropology is a student-centered department of excellence committed to fulfilling the mission of Kennesaw State University. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in Land Surveying in the Department of Geography and Anthropology for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in Land Surveying. These courses are most often at an introductory level and include Surveying I, and Surveying I Lab.
Assignments to faculty in the pool are based on departmental needs and are for one or two courses per semester. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and courses may be assigned at the Kennesaw or Marietta campus.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

A Master's or terminal degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Geospatial Systems Engineering, Geographic
Information Sciences, or a closely related field is required at the time of hire.

A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Land Surveying Certification
Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level
Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
Experience with ESRI GIS and other Land Surveying-based software products
Experience with AutoCAD
