Job Description
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), College of Nursing Health Community and Population Health Department is seeking a non-tenure Assistant/Associate Professor. The UT Health Science Center embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care, and institutional service. Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and clinical supervision of students. Teaching experience in a professional nursing program is desired. Academic rank at assistant or associate professor is based upon academic credentials and experience.

Responsibilities
Undergraduate in person didactic and clinical teaching in the community health course and online teaching for undergraduate and graduate students. Research/scholarship activities, as well as service responsibilities, will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair. This position is eligible for the College's faculty practice plan.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Doctoral Degree. All degrees must be from an accredited program.

EXPERIENCE: Community or population health experience is required. (Teaching experience in a BSN and DNP program preferred. Leadership experience is preferred. Experience in health economics is preferred. Evidence of scholarship and professional service activities is preferred.)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
