English Language Instructor

Job Summary

Continuing Education and Community Engagement's English Language Institute is hiring in-person adjunct ESL instructors to teach ESL classes on a rolling basis.

No online classes

Responsibilities
  • Teach ESL classes according to the class objectives and materials
  • Read ELI Mission and curriculum, prepare class syllabus according to the provided syllabi templates, read and follow guidelines outlined in the ELI Faculty Handbook
  • Attend one faculty meeting and 2 sponsored activities (6 hrs. total) per session
  • Keep attendance, report attendance daily, record grades weekly, be able to arrange for substitutes in the event of an absence, maintain communication with ELI and check email daily





Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's in TESOL or in a related field with a TESOL Certificate
  • Teaching experience, preferably in a variety of skills and levels
