The Area of Finance in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Professor of Practice (All Ranks) to begin Fall 2025.

Major/Essential Functions
At Texas Tech University, the Professor of Practice title is used to recruit individuals with exceptional backgrounds and achievements in academic, business, government, or other professional practice. Primary responsibilities normally will be to teach in an area of expertise, mentor students in professional and career preparation, and liaise with professional contacts and entities on behalf of the department or program.

In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.

As a faculty member in the Area of Finance, you will be expected to:

Deliver undergraduate and master's level courses in commercial real estate and finance.
Contribute to the research initiatives of the Texas Tech Center for Real Estate.
Publish scholarly and industry-focused research on real estate topics.
Provide mentorship and actively engage with students in the commercial real estate certificate program
Support the industry engagement activities of the Texas Tech Center for Real Estate

Required Qualifications

PhD in Finance or Real Estate.
Demonstrated academic research program to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic qualification standards.
Commitment to excellence in teaching across both in-person and online formats.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:

Established or emerging research expertise in Commercial Real Estate.
Strong dedication to student engagement and mentorship.
Demonstrated passion for building and maintaining industry connections.
Proven record of excellence in teaching.
