About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
Managing the daily office functions of the Disability Resource Center, the Disability Resource Center's Administrative Assistant will serve as a liaison between the DRC and other offices to ensure accommodations are being implemented by providing regular reporting, including the registrar, housing and student financial services. This individual will coordinate and direct the flow of submitted documentation and general inquires to the DRC. They will work with students, parents, faculty, and vendors and will be responsible for ensuring an overall office atmosphere that is pleasant, welcoming, and immediately responsive to student needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Managing and responding to email in DRC Shared in box.
- Cataloging and Uploading documentation to DRC Database
- Assigning and communicating new documentation to DRC Specialists
- Working as a liaison with other campus offices and faculty to ensure accommodations and implemented in a timely manner.
- Providing exemplary custom service through email, phone and in person contact.
- Assisting with tabling events as needed.
- Ordering and Maintain offices supplies.
- Assisting with exam proctoring during high volume times.
- Working with leadership to collect analyze and present data.
- Assisting with creating and distributing promotional materials for the office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree & 1-3 years of experience working in an office environment, preferably higher education, including 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where out of the box thinking and proactive assistance is highly sought and valued.
- Strong organizational, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and computer skills (Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required)
- Extremely detail oriented
- Exceptional time management skills are a must
