Wildland Fire Training Services Coordinator Part-time
Clackamas Community College



Work as part of a the Wildland Fire Program team to respond to training workforce needs of corporate students, public agencies, and associations through planning, coordinating, and implementing projects. Coordinate the delivery of assigned open enrollment and contract classes. Schedule and orient approved instructors to all class logistics, including registration, evaluation, and grading. Process student registration, payment, and grades; create and manage client billing and payment. Create promotional flyers and market assigned classes to business clients and the public. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with college, state, federal, WIA, FERPA, accreditation, and business proprietary requirements.

MINIMUM/MANDATORY EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the duties as described. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: Associates 's degree in fire science, education, business or public administration, or related field AND a minimum of 4 years experience in Fire Service education and/or training.

KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of community colleges and general business operations, processes, and procedures. Knowledge of college academic programs and procedures, career development principles and practices, registration processes, and relationships between various levels of education, business, community, and Fire Service partnerships. Knowledge of workplace-based education and training programs for adults and businesses including program planning and administrative activities, marketing, promotions, and budgeting. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet, and e-mail applications. Knowledge of social media. Working knowledge of Customized Training department and Clackamas Community College policies and procedures.

SKILL: Skill in the use of personal computers; office software programs for word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project management software and web page design, including MS applications such as Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel; phone system; and standard use of office equipment. Skill in student information systems, internet, e-mail applications, and social media venues including LinkedIn and Facebook. Skill in analyzing technical information and working with computer systems and applications; excellent interpersonal skills; written and verbal communication; marketing and presentation skills; Problem solving skills.

ABILITIES: Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, staff, other agencies, and the general public; manage time effectively; read and interpret schedule, policies, regulations, and laws as they relate to this job; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing using proper grammar in the English language, including the ability to provide service and support to varying individuals and groups; maintain a high degree of discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
