Applications are currently being accepted for Research & Planning Analyst in the Office of Planning, Research, and Institutional Effectiveness, located at Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) Administration. Hours are M - F 8:30am-5pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Proficient skills in research project planning and design, data collection, analysis, report preparation and presentation of results. Demonstrated experience in research design, including literature review and synthesis, and comprehensive report preparation with respect to purpose, method, analysis, results, and recommendation. Ability to apply advanced research techniques and methodologies, including advanced quantitative and qualitative research methods; advanced statistical analysis; and demonstrated experience independently leading survey research and focus groups projects. Advanced knowledge of data base management and software/statistical packages related to research and analysis including Hyperion, SPSS (preferably via syntax), R, etc. Proficient knowledge of Tableau, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. Demonstrated experience utilizing data visualization and display of data to ell the story within reports, informational materials, online data dashboards, presentations, and trainings. Strong oral and written communications skills. Correct English usage and ability to write complex and high-level reports. Strong presentation and teaching skills for a variety of audiences (e.g., faculty, administrator, community) and situations (e.g., data coaching; data-facilitated discussions; program review and planning trainings; committees and executive meetings; institution-wide events; professional conferences). Ability to guide and lead within the context of governance committees. Knowledge of practices and methods of administration and management. Experienced in training employees, daily employee supervision, and work oversight. Demonstrated project management techniques and oversight of office and institutional research agendas. Knowledge of principles of classroom-based research methods particularly student learning outcomes, principles of institutional and organizational (strategic) planning, and management analysis. Knowledge of salient issues and current methodologies in noncredit and credit post-secondary educational research such as program review, matriculation, accreditation, enrollment management, and institutional research. Familiarity with state, legislative, and grant-based mandated reporting requirements for noncredit (e.g., AEBG, SPSS, Perkins, Strong Workforce, Equity). Soft Skills to include: detail orientated; meet schedules and timelines; analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action; develop, evaluate, and effectively present alternative recommendations; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Pay Information:
Range 13 ($5,822.39 $9,720.72) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees Association Salary Schedule A

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA exempt and does not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
