Position Description
Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Designs, implements and manages an assigned program.
  • Identify funding opportunities.
  • Conduct program assessments
  • Prepare program reports.
  • Oversee and manage program marketing and communications
  • Manage program databases.
  • Supervise program staff.
  • Research activities.
  • Coordinate program events.
  • Participate in strategic planning.
  • Manage program files.
  • Establish program standards and objectives.
  • Direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs.
  • Develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Oversee program budget.
  • Ensure the goals and objectives of grants are met.
  • Assists in proposal writing.
  • Comply and analyze program statistics.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in education or psychology.
  • Certification in mental health areas.
  • Extensive experience working with teachers and special needs students and/or mental health in school settings.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops with large groups.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health.
  • Knowledge of Texas Special Education and Mental Health regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching strategies for adults in training programs.
  • Knowledge in special needs and mental health.
    Excellent presentation skills, work collaboratively with others, collect data and analyze, write reports.
    Ability to develop training curricula, effectively conduct training sessions, assess and revise curricula, develop handouts and information brochures for multiple entities, offer technical assistance, work with teachers and project staff, travel to multiple locations, schedule training programs, manage small groups in training, and use multimedia for presentations.
