Position Information
.Under the direct supervision of the Director of UCR's Project Adelante, the Project Adelante Administrator Assistant in the Graduate School of Education (GSOE), duties include but are not limited to, coordinating and assisting the Project Adelante Director in planning events and various activities of the project, coordination of workshops and conferences, processing participants payment via UCR's Online Payment System (ePay), preparing materials for each Project Adelante testing activities, representing Project Adelante and UCR GSOE at local school and district functions, and maintaining student and client confidentiality at all times when appropriate.

This position is grant funded and will be dependent on continued funding availability.


Minimum Requirements
Five (5) years of related work experience; or Bachelor's degree in a related field with one (1) year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of college education and experience.
Experience in planning and coordinating programs and events and recruiting program participants which include K-12 students, parents, teachers and other educational professionals (UC, CSU, CC, etc.) and ability to explain procedures.
Experience working with a diverse student population, and sensitivity to culture, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation and socio-economic status.
Demonstrated experience with purchasing fundamentals and practice. Experience costing out goods/services.
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with school district administrators, school counselors, principals, teachers, and community contacts.
Ability to research and analyze information to formulate/implement solutions for improvement.
Demonstrated skill in accurate record keeping with strict attention to detail. Organizing tasks, documents and materials with efficiency and accuracy.
Demonstrated skill n communicating effectively and professionally using tact and diplomacy. Skill in interacting diplomatically with the public in a high volume, continuous public contact setting.
Demonstrated skill in understanding and interpreting the projects purpose to a broad audience and stakeholders/constituents.

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with student outreach.
Experience with UCR applications, including ePay, ITravel, UCRFS financial systems and Purchasing policy and systems.
Demonstrated skill in working with budgets and spreadsheets to track and record expenses related to events and activities and create charts to track deadlines.
Creative ability, including working in Adobe Photoshop or other applications, to edit photos and create brochures and flyers.
