Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.



Major/Essential Functions
Supports directors in planning, directing, and coordinating both academic and operational activities across US PREP National Center by organizing transformative approaches to technical assistance, forging strong partnerships, enabling data-driven decision-making, and amplifying what matters most in teacher preparation across the nation.
  • Supports US PREP Senior Directors with critical functions of organizational success, including:
    • Developing meeting agendas and workflow structures that support an understanding of and collaboration with US PREPs technical assistance model,high-quality approaches to the preparation of novice teachers, and strategic staffing models that promote scale and sustainability
    • Launching start-up systems and processes that promote efficiency
    • Improving stakeholder experience in engagements, including the preparation of meeting agendas, supporting note-taking, and follow-up actions
    • Developing, codifying, and executing transformative technical assistance strategies, streamlined processes, and approaches to technical assistance, amplifying the impact and reach of the center
    • Supporting the planning and prioritization of project timelines, events, and essential meetings
  • Plans, manages, and develops communications that:
    • Elevates the quality, reach, and impact of US PREPs coalition of teacher preparation programs and collaborations,
    • Leverages a range of communication mediums and social media platforms,
    • Maintains a favorable public and stakeholder perception of the centers accomplishments and approaches to high-quality teacher preparation
  • Initiates and organizes project research that:
  • Supports strategy development and decision-making across all work streams at the center, including policy, instructional strategy trends, and innovative practices approaches in teacher preparation


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in K-12 education and teacher preparation
  • Experience in adult education or professional development.
  • Demonstrated leadership in promoting equity and diversity.
